HS Chamber Orchestra Orlando Trip Information

Parents:

Attached, you will find the most up-to-date itinerary for the HS Chamber Orchestra’s trip to compete at the National Orchestra Festival in Orlando, Florida. I’m so excited about the opportunity to be invited to compete against some of the finest orchestra programs in the United States. I’m also excited that we will get to be tourists and visit Universal Studios and a few of the Disney Parks.

PARENT MEETING:

On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, we will be having an Orlando Trip Meeting in the GPFAA orchestra room at 7:00PM. It will be a short informative meeting to answer any questions that you might have about the trip.

CHAPERONES:

We welcome any parents who are interested in being chaperones on this trip. In order to chaperone any school trip, you must register through the school district’s website. (link attached - you may have to copy and paste it into your browser)

Chaperones may ride the bus with the orchestra. We have about 5 spaces available. You must make your own hotel reservations at the Hampton Inn (information is included in the itinerary). Chaperones must also purchase your own meals and park tickets during the trip. The chaperone duties will not be too heavy. You will mainly be extra eyes to make sure the students are safe and to assist Mr. Galvan or Mr. Garduno with any situation that may arise. If you are interested, please email Mr. Galvan.
